Enrollment is now open to all students residing in the respective school district. Bingham Arts Academy can accommodate students entering into kindergarten to 8th grade. It is imperative that parents submit enrollment applications for each student planning to enroll, as early as possible.

Bingham Arts Academy implements a thematic, interactive program that incorporates multiple learning styles. Mornings are dedicated to building solid skills in the core subject areas of reading, writing, math and science. While the afternoons are reserved for foreign language, music, physical education and a daily 90-minute block of Bingham Arts Academy’s Paragon curriculum.

The Paragon curriculum is interdisciplinary, engaging, discovery-based and multi-cultural. The hands-on approach of Paragon addresses the multiple intelligences and individual learning styles. This enhances students’ communication skills, analysis and self-expression.

Bingham Arts Academy also offers an emotionally and physically safe learning environment, access to computers and technology, committed and qualified teachers and staff and encourage parental involvement. Teachers will conduct regular goal setting conferences with individual children and their parents, to ensure the student’s success.

On October 10, 2008, the State of Michigan Department of Education recognized Bingham Arts Academy for “achieving a unique degree of academic success”. A recent review of 2007-08 MEAP test data has shown that Bingham Arts Academy has achieved “over 60% academic proficiency with populations made up of more than 50% free/reduced lunch students”.

“The success of the academy is attributed to the hard work and devotion of all staff members. The staff at Bingham Arts Academy believes that every child can learn if given the right support, environment and tools. We strive for academic excellence and continually modify programs to ensure that increasing student achievement is our primary goal”, stated Sarah Prevo, Chief Administrative Officer, Bingham Arts Academy.

The State of Michigan Department of Education was so impressed with Grand Blanc and Bingham’s extraordinary success; they expressed interest in replicating the academy’s education strategies in other public schools in the state.

Vounteers Needed

Parents are encouraged to participate in their children’s education. Ask your child’s teacher how you may help them, participate in the Parent-Teacher Organization and/or contact the school to see where you may be able to volunteer your time.

Preschool Open Enrollment

Preschool is now accepting enrollment for the 2008-2009 school year. All day option available. Grants available to children who will be 4 years old before December 1, 2008.

Paragon Nights

Paragon® is an interdisciplinary world history curriculum that integrates art, music, and dance.  Paragon® is divided into eight units each unit immersing students in a school-wide study of the same historical time period, with each grade focused on a unique essential question, geographic location and focus of study.  Each unit culminates with a project or performance that students share with their parent, friends and family at Paragon Nights.
